Girl Scouts- Daisy's

Girl Scouts- The Girl Scouts are 2.6 million strong and going. The G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader) traits instill courage, confidence, and character, which makes the world and their community a better place. And let's face it, they sell the best cookies EVER!!! It all began almost 100 years ago when Juliette Gordon "Daisy" Low organized the first Girl Scout Troop and it has spread all over the world. They give every girl a chance to practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and success.

The First Step- Daisy's

The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is a one-of-a-kind leadership development program for girls, with proven results. These girls practice different skills, learn of their potential, and develop leadership roles; and it all starts with the Daisy's. Daisy's learn early on to help others, make a difference in their community, gain new friends, explore nature, and earns petals (the special Daisy version of badges earned by older Girl Scouts) as she embraces the Girl Scout Promise and Law. These petals are earned when girls are in kindergarten and first grade by doing activities or crafts all while understanding each of the ten parts to the Girl Scout Law. The various components of the daisy comprise of the daisy center and the ten petals; there is no specific order in which the petals must be earned.
